Privacy
Clippa is a news reader for Android, made by Haydamax Laboratory (Haydamax OÜ, Estonia). This page explains what the app and clippa.mib.news keep about you. Last updated 27 October 2026.
Without an account
You can read without signing up. Your languages, topics, country, likes, boards, feeds you added and the stories you have read are stored only on your phone. Clippa fetches news directly from the publishers’ RSS feeds and from chakloon.net; those servers see an ordinary request from your device.
With an account
Sign-in runs through Chakloon Passport, operated by Haydamax OÜ. Clippa never stores your password. On our server we keep your Passport user ID, username, name and email, plus what you choose to sync: settings, likes, boards, feeds you added, and stories you have read. Read stories are stored as a one-way hash of the link, not the link itself, and are deleted after 90 days.
Emails
Account emails (address confirmation, password reset) come from no-reply@clippa.mib.news through Chakloon Passport. News about Clippa is sent only if you subscribe, and every letter has a one-step unsubscribe.
Articles you open
When you open an article, the publisher’s page loads inside the app or your browser and that publisher’s own privacy policy applies. Links we open carry “utm_source=clippa”, so publishers know the visit came from Clippa.
Deleting your data
Settings → Account → Delete my Clippa data removes everything our server holds about you. To delete the Passport account itself, use pass.chakloon.com. You can also write to hello@clippa.mib.news.
No ads, no selling
Clippa shows no ads, uses no third-party trackers and does not sell or share your data.
